Who we are.
Bruce Lambert
Bruce Lambert brings more than 30 years of experience in freight transportation, maritime economics, and supply chain planning across the public and private sectors. He has held leadership positions with the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD), Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Institute for Trade and Transportation Studies, and the Port of Long Beach. Throughout his career, Bruce has helped shape national freight policy, developed multimodal freight data and planning tools, and advised ports, state DOTs, and federal agencies on transportation investment and economic development strategies.
Bruce specializes in freight economics, market analysis, grant strategy, and maritime transportation planning. His work has supported significant investment in successful federal grant awards, and he has authored numerous publications on freight corridors, inland waterways, and multimodal transportation. He brings a unique combination of economic analysis, industry knowledge, and strategic thinking to help clients make informed investment decisions.
Shawn Brede
Shawn Brede is a planner with more than 20 years of experience leading complex transportation, land use, and maritime planning initiatives at the local and federal levels. His career includes serving as the Acting Director of the Bronx for the New York City Department of City Planning, the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD), and consulting projects across the country, working with communities, ports, and public agencies to develop long-term planning strategies and secure infrastructure investment.
At MARAD, Shawn led national initiatives to strengthen maritime planning, developed best practices for State Freight Plans and statewide maritime planning, managed the agency's GIS program, and supported the Marine Highway Program and other federal freight initiatives. He also served as the Designated Federal Officer for the Maritime Transportation System National Advisory Committee, working with stakeholders across government and industry to advance national maritime priorities. His experience combines strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, GIS, and grant development with a systems-based approach to maritime corridor planning. Shawn has traveled to 47 countries and has many more to go.
